#11 Paris Masters - Gavin & Roger

There was one fangirl moment which has literally been one moment. When I noticed that Gavin was there at the SF. I screamed out so loud :) Because it took me by total surprise, since Gavin (Bush) had a concert in Vienna the night before - which meant that he flew over in the middle of his tour to meet & watch Rog! And on Sunday, he also attended the final - I never expected that either, as he was going to have a show in Zurich that night - as it later turned out, Roger went to that Bush concert, so I suppose Gavin flew back to Switzerland with Roger & Co. :) Man, the life of a rockstar :) Btw, I don’t know why it became so “important” to me to have Gavin supporting Roger but I just absolutely love him for being there as many times as he can. He’s such a true fan! I just love his passion for the game, I’m glad Roger’s got a friend like him.

Obviously, the Paris Masters isn’t memorable only because of Gavin. That was one of the most perfect weeks Roger has ever played. He was yet to win this Paris title for the first time ever in his career and he had to overcome more than one “ghosts” of his: he beat Gasquet, Berdych and Tsonga to gain the title. Displaying brilliant gameplay through all his matches. The Maestro was on fire again. These are the times we’re doing all our fangirling for; when after being through some bad times, the good comes. And who knew that the best was yet to come! ;)
